Plant-Based Diet - My husband's diet therapy got me hooked on Raw and Living food. –

(Page of Swords & The High Priestess, vol.18) Yukiko Shimada and Masato Shiraishi moved into an apartment near Central Park. Yukiko, who often reads "The Gift of Life Prayers" and seeks meals to support her husband's battle with terminal cancer, began learning about "Raw and Living food".

Page of Swords & The High Priestess, vol.18

I came to New York and bought two things right away. One is "A COURSE IN MIRACLES COMBINED VOLUME." My husband started reading "A COURSE IN MIRACLES COMBINED VOLUME" from C. J. Raymond. On the other hand, I bought a new "A COURSE IN MIRACLES COMBINED VOLUME" specifically for me so that I can read it even when he is reading it. "A Course In Miracles" is a theoretical textbook on "Forgiveness" and a workbook for practicing "Forgiveness". In this way, Masato Shiraishi and I began a life of learning and practicing "Forgiveness".

I sought out our home where he could enjoy the music to his heart's content, so that he could spend every day in prayer, having fun and being at ease. His "Boogie Down Bronx" apartment was full of records, CDs, books and magazines about popular music, drum set parts, and unusual percussion instruments such as "Tabla" for classical Indian music — in short, music! So, my second purchase is our home. We moved into an apartment by Central Park. It's not a new building. Angie Kendall has a lot of friends because she is kind and kind. Her friend told me about a good property, so I paid the deposit right away. I was looking for a property close to Central Park that would allow Masato to drink freshly squeezed juice in the morning sun, but Angie's friend's real estate agency got my wish perfectly. I ended up living in a Snowbelt city, and I love watching the snow fall on this big city and shine in the morning sun. Masato liked it too. He seemed to really want to get well. Because he felt bad that I paid full price to buy our house, and he wanted to heal from the cancer and start working as soon as possible. Such guilt is not good for the course of life in general, let alone cancer treatment. His guilt towards me frequently triggered our conflicts later on. Let's talk about it a little later. Anyway, he started a life of learning "A Course In Miracles", practicing "Forgiveness", praying "The Gift of Life Prayers", and enjoying music.

We prayed for "Forgiveness" every day. For example, "The Gift of Life Prayer V Prayer For All Races, All Nations, All Humanity, The Earth, And All Life" is a prayer like this. Let me recite it! I and Masato prayed for this every day, so, we completely memorized it! LOL.

God, We Are Your Children, Your Humble Children

We Give You Our Love And We Thank You For Your Constant Love And Blessings

For All Races, All Nations, And All Humanity, Back Through All Time Through All Our Lives- For All Hurts And Wrongs We Have Done To Each Other, To Ourselves, To The Earth, And To The Life Of The Earth, Through Thought, Word Or Deed, Knowing Or Not Knowing, We Apologize For All Our Hurts And Wrongs And We Ask To Be Forgiven

Help Us God Please, To Forgive All Those Who Have Hurt Us, To Forgive Ourselves For The Times We Have Hurt Ourselves, And To Be Forgiven By All Those We Have Hurt

Please God, Please God, Thank You God, Thank You God, Thank You

And We Do Forgive And Release Each Other, Ourselves, And All Life, Completely And Totally, With God's Help, Thank You God

God, Help Us Please To Have Reverence And Respect For All Life, And To Realize Our Responsibilities To Each Other, To Ourselves, To The Earth, And To All Life In The Creation Of Peace And Harmony For All Life During Our Lives

Help Us God, Please, To Attune Our Awareness, Our Intelligence, And Our Actions To The Inner Voice Of Goodness, Love, And Truth - You, Most High Lord In Heaven

Now And Forever

Thank You God, Thank You God, Thank You

We prayed these prayers out loud together every day. When I had more things to do with him, the awareness of being a couple deepened in me. That was a great pleasure for me.

By the way, I'll tell you more about his relationship with music next time. Today, I want to tell you not about him, but about my biggest change since then.

As I mentioned earlier, "The Gift of Life Prayers" details how Roger, a middle and high school classmate of the author Howard Wills, was able to completely heal from an incurable terminal cancer at the age of 20. That gave us a great indication. In fact, "The Gift of Life Prayers" includes examples of healing from other people's cancers, but the episode about Roger describes many other things he worked on besides praying, not only because he prayed, but because he wanted to be actively involved in the healing process himself. Howard Wills asked Roger. Do you want to be healed of this disease? Or do you want to be an active participant in the healing process? Roger's response was that he wanted to be actively involved.

Here's what Roger did on the first day of the healing process, following the advice of Howard Wills.

  • Make peace with those with whom you have had some problems.
  • If you owe money, pay it back in full.
  • Forgive everyone who has ever hurt you, and then call and make up with them.
  • Call the people you have hurt and ask them to forgive you, and then forgive yourself for hurting them.
  • Apologize to each family member and ask each family member to apologize to you. Look into each other's eyes and say aloud, "I Love You," and hug each other.

At that time, Roger suffered from multiple organ cancers, including testicular cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer, and liver cancer, and was recuperating at home. At the time, Roger weighed only about 66 pounds, his hair was nearly shed, his skin was white as paper, and he was lying in a fetal position on a cot in his parents' living room, where he was expected to die in a day or two. Roger did everything Howard Wills told him to do in one day. And he could walk upright in a day! According to "The Gift of Life Prayers", Roger had been battling the disease for about seven years. If that's true, Roger was already battling illness when he was a student with Howard Wills.

I think Masato probably did these things to his stepmother Hideko and his older sister during his stay in Kyoto. Well, he might not have said, "I Love You". Japanese people don't have a habit of saying "I Love You," so it's hard to say, and there's a high possibility that the person who says it will feel creepy. I think he might have expressed his gratitude to his stepmother and sister.

A while after I started living in New York, I called my parents' house internationally and apologized to my father. I called my mother to thank her when I was in Kyoto, but I didn't talk to my father.

Are you asking me what I apologized to my father for?

Well, various things. Indeed, I have already apologized for many things! For example, that I did not go to the University of Tokyo. Or that I started “Nu-Era Pics” without consulting my father or mother. Or that I became so busy with business that I stayed in the United States after graduating from "Leland Stanford Jr. University" and never returned to Japan. And so on. I couldn't hug him, but I wanted to call him, and I'm glad I did. Yes. I told him that there is a man I live with and that he has terminal cancer. My father was angry. My father was yelling at me on the other end of the phone. You're being tricked by a big dumb beggar who doesn't know where. The scammer will take all your hard-earned wealth. But when I explained the situation in detail and said, "Dad, I Love You." my father eventually said, "Okay…."

Oh, how many years have passed since then?

Maybe even now my father doesn't feel good about our marriage, but I myself feel good that we could talk on the phone at this time.

Now, back to Roger.

On the second day, Howard Wills asked Roger the following:

In your opinion, how long would it take to completely cure your cancer?

Roger answered 30 days. Howard Wills then asked a further question.

Do you want to be healed of this disease? Or do you want to be an active participant in the healing process?

Roger's response was "I want to be actively involved," so, he was instructed by Howard Wills to have the following daily routine:

  • Drink freshly squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice every morning as soon as you wake up.
  • In the afternoon, drink two glasses of freshly squeezed carrot juice.
  • Reduce your meat intake and eat foods that have not lost their vitality as much as possible.
  • If you want to eat meat, eat turkey, fish, or a little chicken.
  • To eliminate violent sources of stress, stop watching television, stop listening to the radio, and stop reading newspapers and magazines.
  • If you want to read something, you may read only "Synoptic Gospels".
  • If you want to listen to something music, listen to a little classical music.
  • Go outside every day, sunbathe, sit in the shade of a tree, breathe in the fresh air and listen to the various sounds of the earth.

It was Howard Wills' intention to move away from the violent, to avoid the energy-sapping, and to allow the body to store energy and heal itself. And in fact, according to "The Gift of Life Prayers", Roger made a full recovery 30 days later, got a job 30 days after being declared completely cured of his cancer, and returned to school 30 days later.

The reason I wanted to live by Central Park was to have a place where Masato could go out and sunbathe and listen to the sounds of the earth. Like Kauai, Hawaii, where Howard Wills lives, sitting in the shade of a tree every day isn't easy, but we tried to do something a little closer to what Roger did.

Uh huh? Do you have a question about whether Masato only listened to Classical music? Uh, no. It was impossible for Masato to listen only to Classical music. On the contrary, he is not good only at Classical music. LOL. Masato says it's very hard to listen to Classical music!

Classical music has too many sources. For classical music fans, it is extremely important who is conducting which orchestra and where the recordings are performed. So, there are too many sources to listen to. That's why I don't listen to classical music. In fact, even for Jazz fans who need to know everything about their session members, there are so many sources to listen to that they can't afford to enjoy anything else! How many recordings are there of "'Round Midnight" alone? I'd get hurt if I accidentally touched them!

So, in short, he's totally a popular music guy! Even if I beg him to listen to Classical music, it seems that he cannot concede. LOL.

But he decided to listen to a collection of romantic and relatively slow songs! These include ATLANTIC STARR's "Touch A Four Leaf Clover", SPINNERS ' "Cupid/I've Loved You For A Long Time", Ray Goodman & Brown's "Heaven In The Rain" and "Special Lady", Whitney Houston's "You Give Good Love", and ACTIVE FORCE's "My Sunshine".

He also listened to Prince, and I think he listened to a variety of Gospel songs, from Quartet styles such as SWAN SILVERTONES, THE FIVE BLIND BOYS OF MISSISSIPPI, and MIGHTY CLOUDS OF JOY, to Choir styles such as MISSISSIPPI MASS CHOIR, John P. Kee & THE NEW LIFE COMMUNITY CHOIR, to solos such as Helen Baylor, interweaving old and new. I also stopped listening to music other than the one he chose, including Madonna, for that period.

Then there is the music sung in languages other than English, which he used to listen to a lot.

For music whose lyrics Masato could not understand, he would just enjoy the atmosphere. So, for example, he used to listen to A. R. Rahman, who started out by working on the soundtracks of Tamiḻḻ's films like "Bombay" and "Muthu" in India and became a world-famous composer. Masato was listening to his music before he won the Golden Globe and Academy Award for "Slumdog Millionaire." A. R. Rahman was devoted to the Islamic mysticism of "Sufism" in his youth, so he was influenced by the music called "Qawwali," which is closely related to "Sufism". Masato also used to listen to the music of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, who made "Qawwali" internationally famous. Songs like "ALLAH-HU".

So in Masato's own way, he was listening to the advice of Howard Wills!

After a while, he began to frequently listen to North Indian traditional "Hindustani classical music" like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Shivkumar Sharma, Hariprasad Chaurasia, and so on. He also began to listen to "Carnatic music" from South India. Masato had been listening to Indian classical music before, but it was during this period that he started listening to it more and more. However, I would like to tell you how it happened next time.

Now, back to the topic.

We can see that many of the instructions from Howard Wills to Roger are related to food! Basically, we can see that he recommends eating fruits and vegetables, as fresh as possible. Masato used to make and drink his own orange juice and grapefruit juice in the morning and carrot juice at lunch, and he still does.

It is delicious and I often drink it with him. He makes one for me too.

He also lives on his own for a long time, so he can cook by himself. That was helpful. I told Angie Kendall that I was leaving "Nu-Era Pics", but I can't afford to leave it all on short notice. All projects must be taken over by Angie and other successors. Angie and my secretary Rachel Hayashibara often came to visit us at our home, but sometimes I had to go to San Francisco. When I was gone for a few days, he seemed to make his own salad and eat it.

But basically, I cooked. The day he moved into our new home, he announced that he was going to try to "Fasting" for a week, and he did. In the information that Eriko collected and emailed us, she said that when you start fighting cancer, you should do "Fasting" first. So, that week was my study period. In other words, I started to think about what kind of meal I should have him take and prepare to cook it. For example, I looked in detail at where we could go and what kind of delicious organic vegetables we could get. Or, for example, I had to buy a Dehydrator. Oh, and I cut my hair so I wouldn't get in the way of cooking. I had very long hair back then. I didn't always have long hair, but I had short hair a few times. But when I moved to Manhattan, I didn't just cut my hair, I had a wavy hair, which was different from my previous hairstyles!

I wasn't interested in eating as much as I wasn't interested in love with someone. To be clear, I've been good at cooking since I was little. I cut everything with a knife next to my mother! Cooking is interesting! But for me when I jumped into the business world, cooking was one of those skills that I have to learn to not give the enemy a chance to take advantage. It is better to have fewer weaknesses. Being good at anything will help us in business one day, but for me, it was even more important not to be mocked by others and to say to my competitors, "I'm also really good at cooking." My weakness is, well, I'm not good at musical instruments! That's a little disappointing. But I like singing a lot! Sometimes I get invited to go out with Karaoke. These days, I sing "Kaze Tachinu" by Seiko Matsuda. LOL.

But since returning from Billings, Montana, I've come to believe that it's important to truly enjoy the meal itself. After that, I adopted a diet similar to "Macrobiotic diet" and enjoyed eating alone at home. However, it is not consistent with the "Macrobiotic diet". The "Macrobiotic diet" has three core philosophies: Shindo-Fuji, Harmony of Yin and Yang, and Ichibutsu-Zentai. "Shindo-Fuji" refers to the idea that there is an inseparable relationship between the human body and the land and environment in which the person was born and raised. So, the idea is that we should eat what we can harvest in the land where we were born and raised. The nutrients that made my body come from the soil near Yokohama in Japan, but it was not easy for me living in San Francisco to obtain delicious vegetables grown from the nutrients in the soil around Yokohama. Even if I give up on that, I can still eat with the balance of Yin and Yang in mind. "Ichibutsu-Zentai" is the idea that food should be eaten as it is, undivided. So, in the "Macrobiotic diet" we eat brown rice, not rice that has been scraped and whitened, and small fish that can be eaten down to the bones. This is also generally possible! I generally ate a diet like the one in this picture during my San Francisco days.

However, according to Howard Wills' advice, Masato, who is clearly a cancer patient, should eat a diet based on Raw food.

I thought I should start a different diet than the "Macrobiotic diet". Japanese people eat sushi and sashimi, so perhaps you think that Japanese people are a people who like Raw food. However, "Japanese food/Wa-Shoku" is basically heated. The same goes for the "Macrobiotic diet".

In the past, Orange County Anaheim, California, was home to "118 Degrees", a Raw and Living food restaurant with owner and chef Jenny Ross. She opened her first cafe in 2000, but Angie Kendall knew about Jenny Ross after learning about it from her "Law of Attraction" friends. It's delicious! It's powerful! It's awesome! Angie said this and raved about Jenny Ross's Raw and Living food. Ah, this is it! I thought so. The idea is that eating raw vegetables and fruits, or cooking them at temperatures below 105 degrees Fahrenheit and 40.5 degrees Celsius, is effective in preventing heat from destroying plant enzymes and vitamins. Originally, I rarely ate beef or pork, so I was comfortable adopting Raw and Living food.

But what does Masato think?

He was actually good at changing his eating habits!

His father had a stroke due to complications from diabetes and underwent a craniotomy. Since then, His father was working on food curing. Masato took pity on his father, who was told to cut back on salt, and he himself went along with his father's food regimen. He started eating raw vegetables without any dressing, mayonnaise, soy sauce or vinegar. He used to love meat, but when he changed his eating habits, he realized that vegetables are delicious. Since then, he says he doesn't really want to eat beef or pork. So, as a result, he lost weight. Do you remember? He confessed to being an obese child at the time when he was abused by his classmates in elementary school. He explained that being an obese child was one of the reasons he was abused. He always wanted something to eat, he said. However, he says that during the time he was on a diet equivalent to his father's diet, he became less obsessed with eating. His father himself couldn't resist eating .... His father eventually went on dialysis. It is necessary to remove potassium from the diet of dialysis patients, so eating raw vegetables or fruits is strictly prohibited. "Boiled cucumbers are certainly not delicious, so it must have been spicy for my father." Masato says.

When I first served him Raw and Living food dinners like Miso-Yam Soup, Essenes' Bread, Vegan Sushi with Spicy Tahini Dip, and Greek Salad with Vegan Feta, he was delighted!

Wow, this dinner looks, by all accounts, like a perfect cancer fighter! Thank you very much. He spoke.

I have been studying Raw and Living food ever since, until now. Masato and I have gone to eat at "118 Degrees" several times! It's a shame that "118 Degrees" is no longer there, but I learned a lot from the recipe book "The Art of Raw Living Food: Heal Yourself and the Planet with Eco-delicious Cuisine" that Jenny Ross created with Doreen Virtue. I learned a lot from this book.

Or Cherie Soria's "Angel Foods: Healthy Recipes for Heavenly Bodies", which taught me a lot. The Raw and Living food culture emphasizes eating sprouts. So, the Raw and Living food culture includes the art of sprouting various vegetables as well as cooking them. Cherie Soria also shares information on growing vegetables, and I would later become obsessed with growing sprouts. I always soak soft nuts such as cashews and walnuts, and hard nuts such as almonds, hazelnuts, and macadamian nuts in purified water to increase their quantity. Sprout alfalfa, radish, red clover, and garlic chives daily. Soak sunflowers, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, millet, beans, etc. in more and more purifying water to germinate them! I also have an indoor vegetable garden for kamut wheat, sunflowers, buckwheat noodles, etc! Nuts and seeds are soaked in water to remove inhibitors that prevent germination. They can be germinated and further fermented to make cheese and yogurt.

Our Japanese food culture is rich in fermented foods. I started making "Ume-Boshi (pickled plums)" and "Miso (fermented soybean paste)" in New York. This is done the Japanese way. Recently, it has become popular in Japan to call it "Ume-Shigoto" to pickle "Ume-Boshi" or to make "Ume-Shu" which is sake with plum. "Ume-Shigoto" means plum work. Every year, June is the season of "Ume-Shigoto".

Or I got into making pickles! I used to make so many pickles that I often gave them away to friends because I used rather large jars.

So even now, I still learn a lot from them.

But Masato loved curry and rice, so he would sometimes say he wanted to eat curry and rice.

Especially on my birthday, I want to eat curry and rice. When I was in Japan, I always did that. The only thing my two mothers, my birth mother and my stepmother, had in common was that they made curry and rice, and fed it to me. So, when I came to New York, I still had curry and rice on my birthday.

For the Shiraishi family, curry and rice always seemed to be a symbol of happiness. There was a famous curry and rice restaurant in Kyoto called "Java," and whenever his family had a celebration, they would go to "Java" and eat a full course meal of curry and rice. For the Shiraishi family, it was the perfect feast.

His two mothers often made curry and rice to make Masato even more happy. For Masato, curry and rice is also a memory of his father. Masato had a book titled "Curry Secrets - This is the Best Home Cooking - " by Fusako Holthaus, which was published in 1981. It was his father's treasured book. His father used the book as a reference book to cook "Beef Curry and Rice" and "Chicken Curry and Rice" for his family as a way to rehabilitate himself after a stroke.

Curry and rice is filled with memories of the Shiraishi family. You don't have to put meat in it. When I fully recover from terminal cancer, let's eat the vegetable curry and rice you made together. I'll help, of course. For a while from now, I will be patient and not need curry and rice. But when I'm cured, I want to eat curry and rice with you.

I readily agreed. And I got Fusako Holthaus's "Curry Secrets - This is the Best Home Cooking - " from him!

Fusako Holthaus's "Carry Secrets - This is the Best Home Cooking - "

Yes. I understand that your question is obvious. Is a plant-based diet good for cancer treatment?

Traditional wisdom from ancient times, or even the latest New Age philosophy, in spiritual knowledge, recommends a vegetarian diet to cure disease. In Roger's case, I think the reason Howard Wills told him to drink freshly squeezed juice was that he was no longer in a position to eat anything particularly heavy. I'm pretty sure the fresh ones have a high Vibrational Energy frequency. Diet is important. Edgar Cayce also recommends eating more vegetables.

Eriko gave us the Edgar Cayce "Castor Oil Pack" booklet.

First, soak a cotton flannel with unrefined castor oil produced by cold pressing. Next, apply the cotton flannel firmly from around the liver to the lower abdomen. Cover it with an oil cover such as a plastic wrap. In addition, apply a thermal heater of far infrared ray from the top, and wrap it with a belt so that it doesn't slip. This completes the "Castor Oil Pack".

Then lie down with the "Castor Oil Pack" wrapped tightly around your body for an hour or an hour and a half. You'll do this for three days and then take four days off. This is a one-week cycle, and you do this cycle three weeks in a row, and you take the fourth week off. This is basic, and if your intuition tells you that you'd rather do, say, the "Castor Oil Pack" four days in a row instead of three, you can do so. In addition, after the third day of the cycle, take a teaspoon or two of olive oil.

Masato also tried this. We were interested in Edgar Cayce thanks to the "Castor Oil Pack" booklet, but we got to know him better because one of C. J. Raymond's relics was "Venture Inward: Edgar Cayce's Story and the Mysteries of the Unconscious Mind " by Edgar Cayce's son, Hugh Lynn Cayce. It's understandable why C. J. Raymond, a former student of "A Course In Miracles", was interested in Hugh Lynn Cayce. Hugh Lynn Cayce helped compile "A Course In Miracles" before it took its current form. It took three major compilations for "A Course In Miracles" to become what it is today. The second compilation is related to Hugh Lynn Cayce, which is published as "A Course In Miracles Original Edition".

If you read "Venture Inward: Edgar Cayce's Story and the Mysteries of the Unconscious Mind", you'll see that Edgar Cayce has a lot of dietary advice for a lot of people. He is as famous as Michel de Nostredame and Jeane Dixon for his ability to predict the future, but he deserves more credit for taking information about Jesus Christ and Essenes down from the higher levels. His so-called "Akashic Records" reading shows, for example:

  • Breakfast: Whole grains or citrus juice. These two kinds must not be taken in the same meal. In the case of orange juice, add lime. For grapefruit juice, add a little lemon. Eggs should be yolk only, rice, buckwheat cake or toast. However, only one of these is fine.
  • Lunch: Salad with tomato, radish, carrot, celery, lettuce and watercress. Add soup and seafood to this.
  • Dinner: cooked apples, tomatoes, potatoes, etc. Fish, chicken, lamb, and sometimes beef may be added, but should not be consumed frequently. Make these the focus of a balanced diet.

That said, Edgar Cayce is all about balance, so he doesn't claim this is a one-size-fits-all meal. A slightly different piece of advice for others is also included in "Venture Inward: Edgar Cayce's Story and the Mysteries of the Unconscious Mind".

My own thoughts are as follows. There is no right diet. Each person should explore the right diet for themselves.

In fact, in the case of cancer patients other than Roger, Howard Wills does not offer dietary advice. Perhaps the most important part of healing is "Forgiveness". Stop blaming someone. It is especially important that we stop blaming ourselves and let go of guilt. "The Gift of Life Prayers" is a prayer that helps us practice "Forgiveness".

I've been studying "A Course In Miracles", and my experience since I started practicing "Forgiveness", based on this book, has shown me that "Miracles" are very far-reaching. A miracle does not end with a singular healing. Masato had terminal cancer. When terminal cancer disappears, anyone will be surprised to say, "It's a miracle!." But I think his complete recovery from terminal cancer was part of a miracle and just the beginning for me and his journey. It included the process of my healing. Through this healing process, I encountered Raw and Living food and began to learn about this culture, and Masato began his career as an Alchemy Crystal Bowl player. He needed to learn a lot to start new music, which led to many reunions and encounters. All human problems stem from dysfunctional relationships. As "A Course In Miracles" explains, doubts about our "Oneness" with God the Father are the origin of all problems. Believing in separation from God, believing in separation between us, the children of God, resulted in an ego. We all need to be healed because we trust the deceitful voice of the ego and live in constant guilt and fear. A miracle is the experience of seeing evidence of our "Oneness". It includes more than just curing incurable diseases.

So, the healing process includes everything we need to do that. The "Miracle" plan may therefore require experience in cancer removal. Treatment with anticancer drugs may be necessary. Radiation therapy may be necessary. In fact, all over the world, three types of cancer treatments are performed every day, and not only do they cure cancer, but they also improve family relationships and create miraculous experiences every day. I mean, God prepares the best healing course for me. God prepares the best healing course for you. We are healed by choosing it by intuition, or by being forced by fate into its path. That's why I don't say that plant-based diets will always, ever lead to healing. The individual who is determined to walk on the path that is best for him or herself will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and follow his or her intuition. Don't blindly believe anyone's advice, establish the habit of asking the Holy Spirit in your heart, and walk by actually asking the Holy Spirit. Follow your truth.

We did. So, he chose not to have surgery to remove the cancer, not to have anti-cancer treatment, not to choose radiation, to drink freshly squeezed juice, to pray "The Gift of Life Prayers", and to learn "A Course In Miracles". I accompanied him. So, it wasn't just that his cancer disappeared!

So, I don't recommend a plant-based diet to everyone. Viganism is a very strict attitude. I think a lot of people became vegans because they wanted to stop cruelty to animals. I think this is a noble and very precious idea.

On the other hand, Japanese people may not understand it very well. Because Japanese people put their palms together and say "Itadaki-masu" before eating. This is a polite way of saying the words "eat" or "receive," but especially when we put our palms together at a meal and say "Itadaki-masu," we say it with gratitude to the cook, to the people who made and caught the ingredients, and to the animals and plants themselves who gave up their "Lives" to us. We Japanese don't think about animals and plants separately. Everything is "Life". So, the idea that eating animals is cruel, and plants are not, is not really understandable. In fact, Japan doesn't have as many vegans as the United States. My prediction for the future is that humans will probably eat very little meat in time. But I don't want to think that eating meat is injustice. The reason, of course, Mr. Ohuchi told us, using the words "A Course In Miracles".

Do you prefer that you be right or happy?

I want you to remember that all beings are created to be inherently happy beings. So, one day, when you have cancer and you want to cure it, I want you to follow your intuition and choose the way you feel happy, both in terms of what you eat and how you treat it medically. First, you see yourself as a happy being. Then the Universe necessarily tell you what is appropriate for a happy you. So, I love to cook and eat Raw and Living food, which is why I continue to eat plant-based. My husband has been eating a lot of vegetables since his cancer was completely cured, but sometimes he seems to eat a little bit of chicken or fish outside. I am happy because that way of eating seems to make him happy.
