Extended Family - In the days away from my husband, I began to walk towards new ideas. -

(Page of Swords & The High Priestess, vol.21) Masato Shiraishi's terminal cancer was completely cured, so he headed to Sedona to practice Alchemy Crystal Bowls in order to make a living with “Ambient Music”. Meanwhile, Yukiko Shimada heads to San Francisco to sell her home.

So, the next day we went back to that hospital, on Monday, March 13, 2006. Of course, the disagreeable doctor had forgotten about us. Oh, I shouldn't say “disagreeable”, LOL. Well, he looked at Masato's chart and seemed to remember a little. Your complexion is rather good, isn't it? He looked at the chart as he said that. Then he looked at Masato and me from head to toe, alternately.

But soon you will be on the afterlife. How is it possible for you Orientals to cure cancer in New York? Your appearance is not bad. But this is New York, and you can't pay for the treatment.

It was as if I could hear something like that from him. I was confident. That's why I was holding back my laughter. Masato, on the other hand, was calm. Five days later, we learned from the test results that Masato's cancer had disappeared. The doctor and nurse were shocked.

What is this?

What's goin' on?

What just happened?

It was, of course, a very, very interesting sight, LOL.

But when we got home, we did not celebrate in a big way. After we left the hospital, we went to "ZABAR'S" together and bought lots and lots of colorful, delicious fruits and vegetables. We bought so much and he carried it all for me. Although we bought a lot of food, I did not add one or two more dishes, but prepared the same meals as before. It would be too much of a burden on his body to suddenly prepare a luxurious meal. As soon as Masato came home, he made orange juice and drank it. Of course, he made one for me, too. Yes, we made a toast with orange juice to celebrate his complete recovery! He said, "Thank you". Then the next day, I baked a cake with "Okara / soy pulp" and we ate it.

He had worked so hard on so many new things and I after all wanted to reward him!

Of course, as promised, I made vegetable curry. As I mentioned, I had already made vegetable curry several times and the three of us , including Karsh Kale, ate it together, but a promise is a promise, so I fulfilled it. Besides, curry is very convenient. It's a great way to use up most extra vegetables. I am so thankful he likes curry and rice!

There is one thing I would like to tell you. I have told you this many times, and I tell you it again. In other words, please do not think that I am trying to claim that Vegetarianism, Fasting, Edgar Cayce's “Castor Oil Pack” or Howard Wills' “The Gift of Life Prayers” are more effective than some of the cancer cures in Western Medicine. I am saying that each person should use the power of Intuition to understand and choose for themselves what path of healing they should take. I want to tell you that you should take the path that is most appropriate for you. The Universe knows everything about you that needs to be healed, and it also knows the others who will be healed by your healing. We are not healed for ourselves alone. There is a grand “Miracle” plan. There is a very vast healing plan. Rei of the Ohuchi family was treated with the very Western Medicine. And the Ohuchi family experienced so much learning and healing and Miracles. Yes, you are right. Rei did indeed pass away. But even that was part of the great learning and healing plan for the Ohuchi family, and it is part of the healing plan for us as we learn their story through the book and the “Peace of Mind Workshop".

Many people who become enamored with “Spirituality” come to believe that traditional therapies prominent in Eastern Medicine, which is based on “Total Harmony,” are superior to Western Medicine, which is based on coping therapies derived from the results of “analysis.” However, I would like to tell you that the most important thing is "Forgiveness". "Forgiveness" means letting go of everything in the past. It corrects inappropriate thoughts held by the mind. People understand that illness is a physical disorder. But in reality, the illness is what we experience at the level of perception because the malfunction that is occurring at the level of the mind takes the form of physical expression. So, a correction of the mind is necessary, and for that we choose "Forgiveness", with the help of the Holy Spirit. Or we ask Christ for help. Then the Holy Spirit give you the answer. That answer was surgery. Or radiation therapy. Or it could be anti-cancer drug therapy. It is very possible.

However, as a point of reference, I would like to share with you a section where “A Course In Miracles” explains the “medications”. It is in TEXT, Chapter 2, V. 2. 1-6. Let me read it to you as it is.

2. Magic is the mindless or the miscreative use of mind. 2Physical medications are forms of "spells," but if you are afraid to use the mind to heal, you should not attempt to do so. 3The very fact that you are afraid makes your mind vulnerable to miscreation. 4You are therefore likely to misunderstand any healing that might occur, and because egocentricity and fear usually occur together, you may be unable to accept the real Source of the healing. 5Under these conditions, it is safer for you to rely temporarily on physical healing devices, because you cannot misperceive them as your own creations. 6As long as your sense of vulnerability persists, you should not attempt to perform miracles.

In addition, Chapter2 V. 3. 1 also be added.

3. I have already said that miracles are expressions of miracle-mindedness, and miracle-mindedness means right-mindedness.

"A Course In Miracles" says that “spells” and “Miracles” are distinctly different things. That is, a “Miracle” is something that happens in a coherent way, while a “spell” is something iffy that does not always work. Physical medications are just like that, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. They also have side effects. That is why they are not "Miracles". And in order to be “Miracle” oriented, one must have "Forgiveness". "Forgiveness" means letting go of the past. It means letting go of all the guilt and regret of the past, which was created by the misuse of the Creative Mind. "Forgiveness" brings us back to a state of Innocence, because this means leaving the Ego behind. It is good to be innocent and receive the way the Universe brings us. Masato started with a very stubborn idea: he had no money and no other way. He was stubborn in that regard, although I told him I would pay for it. This could have put him in danger. Although this stubborn decision did not hasten the progression of his disease, he did attempt suicide. But once he gave up on Western Medicine, he did the opposite, innocently tackling all the methods recommended by others. As Karsh Kale and Aki Sugihara came to visit us more and more often, he would exchange information about Indian Classical Music with them in a very lively and innocent way.

Still, for many of us who have begun to become enamored with “Spirituality,” it may seem somewhat contradictory if we were to go down the path of taking a Physical medications. It is only our mind's understanding that cancer can be cured. "A Course In Miracles" explains over, and over again that this world we understand to be real is an illusion. If so, then having cancer and being cured of cancer is itself an illusion. The Will of the Universe is much more vast, and because it is all-knowing, it can bring us solutions that seem surprising to us. So, we need to develop “Trust” in the Universe, in Love, in God.

Now, back to the topic. While I was cooking the meal, Masato was typing emails to Mr. Ohuchi and to Eriko, and Mr. Ohuchi and Janet prayed for Masato and me using “The Gift of Life Prayers” day after day! Of course, the next day we received an email back from Mr. Ohuchi congratulating us. We would pray for Mr. Ohuchi day after day in later years, but in our daily efforts it was impossible to pray without bursting into tears. It was completely unexpected to know that there were real people in this world who prayed for us every day.

As I was cooking the meal, I certainly felt a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. But Masato seemed to be thinking about us from now on. No, that is not what I thought during dinner that night. The following week, he went to the FM station to meet Archie Lee BLACKFOOT, the producer, to report his complete recovery, and at that time, he was asked if he would like to appear on “Far East Rare Groove”. Would you be willing to talk to our listeners about the circumstances that led to your leaving the show? At that time, the personality had already been replaced by a Korean-American, Jermaine Hwang, who was so sincere about music that before his first broadcast, he came to our home and exchanged many ideas with Masato. After that, he frequently contacted Masato and usually came to our home with fruits as gifts. For Masato, talking with Jermaine Hwang about Asian Popular Music was a very enjoyable time. Thus, Masato was relaxed to appear on the live broadcast of "Far East Rare Groove".

On March 24, Masato talked with Jermaine Hwang and also commented on on-air songs for the first time in a while. That day he featured the Korean Rock band SONGOLMAE, including their 1981 hit “A Chance Encounter.”

Or he talked about the people he had met in Central Park since September. In other words, Masato mentioned Maryam Putri RAHMAT, a violinist from Indonesia, or Park Tae-goo and Lee Mi-kyung, an elderly Korean couple, or Nagiib Al-Jibril, an Arab American. After the broadcast, the audience responded to his words that “Popular Music” was always on his side, even though he was once bullied, his parents died early, and he was poor. Now, it was during the program that Masato suddenly announced that he was going to Sedona next month to practice Alchemy Crystal Bowls! Incredibly, he announced it on a live radio broadcast. I was listening to the program and was, of course, astonished.

What? No way, right?

Well, I know I shouldn't be surprised by such things, LOL. I'm the kind of woman who made a decision on the spot and married him in a hurry because there was a church in front of me in Hawaii, LOL. But of course I was surprised. Well, anyway, that's how I found out that Masato thought he had to have his own business as soon as he received the “cure for cancer” test results. I was still worried about his physical fitness after his illness, and so on. But when Masato came home, here is what I said to him.

I was surprised….

That was all I could say. Masato said, "I'm sorry". Japanese are a people who say “I'm sorry” frequently. Every expatriate is advised never to say “I'm sorry” easily outside of Japan.

They are taught not to apologize easily because they will be sued in civil court and will surely lose. Masato knows this, but he has a habit of saying “I'm sorry” easily. Well, I am Japanese. So, I think he lets his guard down. But those of us who are learning “A Course In Miracles” follow our Intuition and understand that when the Heart recommends saying “I'm sorry,” we should say it. I like the habit of saying "I'm sorry".

Masato had no intention of taking Jermaine Hwang's job or position. So, he did not meet Archie Lee BLACKFOOT with the intention of getting the “Far East Rare Groove” personality position again. He just wanted to say thank you. Masato wrote several reports on Korean Popular Music, and Archie Lee BLACKFOOT found Jermaine Hwang based on Masato's reports. And there was a week when they organized a program to introduce Korean Popular Music.

Masato needed to get a new job outside of being a Radio DJ/Radio personality. Of course I remembered when he asked me to buy him Alchemy Crystal Bowls so he could do “Ambient Music”.

You have always taken care of me and everything, and I would like to do something for you. But as you know, I don't have any money right now. I don't think I will be able to make as much money as you in Ambient music, but in the not-too-distant future, I would like to be able to feed you and me on a daily basis with the money I earn, and at least be able to give you some thoughtful gifts.

I was delighted with his motives. He was very concerned that I was continuing to spend my fortune on him, and he wanted to make his own unique “Ambient Music” soon so that he could become known in the Club Scene and earn an income.

I mentioned that Masato received from Karsh Kale a copy of GRATEFUL DEAD Drummer/Percussionist Mickey Hart's book “Drumming at the Edge of Magic: A Journey into the Spirit of Percussion”. Among the book's many rhythmic topics, it details Ustad Zakir Hussain's “Chilla,” a rigorous ascetic practice among Classical Musicians in Northern India, in which one is confined to a hut for 40 days and devotes 10 hours each day to playing. Masato wanted to do Alchemy Crystal Bowls practice in Sedona that mimicked "Chilla". Actually, “Chilla” needs to be done three times in one's life, but for now, he wanted to practice Alchemy Crystal Bowls in a quiet environment. It made me a little sad. That must have meant that he wanted to get away from me for a while.

But I also knew exactly how he felt. After all the dizzying changes we had gone through since that previous fall, we needed to make sure “current location.” In other words, he did not commit suicide or die of cancer. Our goal had been achieved. So, why are we living together? I needed to think about the existence of “Masato Shiraishi” for me, and he also needed to think about what “Yukiko Shimada” meant to him.

At any rate, Masato said one thing after another that surprised me. He said he was going to Sedona in the ToyotaHIACE” that SIZZLIN' HOT was using to transport their equipment. Certainly suitable for transporting multiple Alchemy Crystal bowls. But that meant driving the car from New York to Arizona. He would first take about a month to slowly make his way to Sedona. He will spend 40 days there and then come back to New York over the course of about a month, he said. He just had recovered from the illness. I was a little worried that he might not have the stamina for such a trip. Well, my fears were unfounded, LOL.

The Toyota HIACE” that SIZZLIN' HOT used to haul their equipment was purchased by me from Sandra. Remember, C. J. Raymond and Sandra had a 9-year-old son and two daughters, ages 6 and 4, who were learning Choir Gospel at the “Abyssinian Baptist Church”. Masato was concerned that Sandra would have trouble making ends meet with three children, so I went to see her immediately. I suggested to Sandra that she work for "Nu-Era Pics". But Sandra declined my offer, saying that she only knew music and the music industry. Instead, she asked me if she could buy SIZZLIN' HOT's ToyotaHIACE” for me. There are, of course, various assistance programs for the bereaved families of crime victims. But they don't last forever either. So, she sold various things to pay off her debts and for such things. The members of SIZZLIN' HOT bought the bass and amps, but since the leader C. J. Raymond was gone, SIZZLIN' HOT had no choice but to disband, so the ToyotaHIACE” was useless to the members of SIZZLIN' HOT. They all went back to being free-lance musicians who traveled around with only their own instruments to play in studios and clubs. I bought SIZZLIN' HOT's ToyotaHIACE”. I thought Masato would be happy to see the yellow body with the SIZZLIN' HOT logo still on it. I bought it for the same price as a new car and immediately sent it to be serviced, because although it is a used car, it is the only one and precious car in the world. Of course, I left the paint intact. I did not let the “SIZZLIN' HOT” logo be erased. The ToyotaHIACE” was ready to go to Sedona with Masato.

But where in Sedona he would stay for 40 days was the question. As a popular Vortex Point, Sedona could expect a very large number of tourists interested in "Spirituality". Surely there would be a good selection of hotels. But the purpose of his stay in Sedona was not to sightsee, but to be alone and practice Alchemy Crystal Bowls. So, he could not just relax and stay in a hotel. Is there really a place in Sedona where he can be alone?

I decided to consult with Mystic Merlin. She is someone who has many acquaintances and friends who are Spiritual Healers and Spiritual Teachers, so I thought there was no way she would not have friends in Sedona, a place considered important from a "Spiritual" perspective. I was right. She understood the situation and contacted Chuck “Lakota” Wray, a Native American friend of hers.

Thus, Masato ended up renting a log cabin from Chuck “Lakota” Wray. Of course, I don't know exactly what it is like, but according to Masato, who has returned to New York after a little over three months, it is the only log house standing in the wilderness, the kind of place where coyotes start howling when it gets quiet after the Alchemy Crystal Bowl practice of the day. Furthermore, "Lakota" means "friend".

By the way, when I went to see Mystic Merlin to discuss Masato's place to stay in Sedona, she said.

You get to be alone and have time to think about your own future. That's good. I think it's a good idea to review of your life so far.

The idea of reviewing my life so far resonated strongly with me. I had forgotten that I had come to New York as a tourist, bought a new home, and continued to stay in Manhattan, and Mystic Merlin's words led me to think that it might be a good idea to go back to San Francisco to sort things out. By the way, Mystic Merlin gave me a mantra.

May I understand what I need to understand today.

Mystic Merlin told me to offer this daily prayer of request to the Holy Spirit. This is a mantra that has sustained me to this day, and I pray this way every morning when I wake up. When I was taught this mantra, I was quite surprised. My mind had been trained to understand things with effort, and I had never had the idea of asking a Holy Spirit to help me understand things easily. Oh, I was happy to ask the Holy Spirit for any help. Then I immediately remembered what Janet had said.

Ask the angels for anything.

Let's ask the angels.

That's right. So, I pray like this every day.

May I understand what I need to understand today.

While I was doing things like meeting Mystic Merlin, he went to the Jazz ClubTiger Rag” and met Omar “Groovy” Hampton. Of course, Omar “Groovy” Hampton was delighted that Masato had survived terminal cancer. Because he had heard “Far East Rare Groove,” he had prepared a goingaway gift to give to Masato to help cover his travel expenses for his trip to Sedona. Or Karsh Kale came to our home and offered to help Masato with his musical endeavors after he returned home.

So, on Saturday, April 22, Masato left for Sedona in a ToyotaHIACE” with the “SIZZLIN' HOT” logo on the yellow body. And on the same day, I flew from JFK to San Francisco. Both Masato and I left for our respective destinations with “A Course In Miracles” and “The Gift of Life Prayers”. I don't know if he read them or not, but I still read "A Course In Miracles" and prayed "The Gift of Life Prayers" every day. Because I am his wife, it is natural for me to pray for his safety! Although we saw each other's “face” every day, that day marked the beginning of a period of more than three months without seeing each other. He lived alone in a house in the wilderness. We did not talk on our cell phones. From time to time, his letters came to San Francisco. He arrived in Sedona on May 22, and his letter reporting his arrival was the first I received. King James I of England is said to have said, “No news is good news,” a phrase that has been translated into Japanese in Japan. But it was still a joy to receive a letter that told me he was safe and sound. I wrote back. When I returned to New York after disposing of my belongings, I wrote to him about it. The day I returned to Manhattan was June 10. Then the letters started coming to New York. Many of his letters were reports that Chuck “Lakota” Wray sometimes invited him to eat their meals with them. There was a lot of talk about what kind of food they ate and things like that. Oh, he didn't write me “I love you” at all, LOL. I didn't write him either, LOL.

According to the letters he sent me at that time and the conversations we had after we started living together again in New York, Masato would get up before sunrise every day and wash his face first. Then he went outside to watch the sun rise and took a series of deep breaths. Then he would sit on the Earth and meditate for about 30 to 45 minutes. Then he prayed "The Gift of Life Prayers", followed by a very light breakfast, and at about 8:00 he started practicing "Alchemy Crystal Bowls", which he continued until about 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Then he cooked and ate dinner. He often ate corn and beans cooked in a stew, which he learned from Chuck “Lakota” Wray, and probably cooked something like “Succotash”. He also ate a lot of dried fruits, and basically adopted a vegetarian diet. Thankfully, Mystic Merlin was able to explain to Chuck “Lakota” Wray what Masato wanted to do in great detail. He understood that Masato didn't have much time to go grocery shopping, so he took on that tedious task or frequently invited Masato to dinner. He even bought and delivered a 200-gallon tank full of water to the town, a 20-minute drive away. There were no water pipes running there. This allowed him to do his laundry early in the morning or after dinner, or soak in the bath to recover from the day's work. He also had all the knives, pans, and pots to cook his meals. He went to bed around 10:00 p.m. and read “A Course In Miracles” before going to bed.

When I returned to my home in San Francisco, Angie Kendall came to visit me the next day, along with Rachel Hayashibara. They visited my home in New York several times for business, and I visited the headquarters of “Nu-Era Pics” twice. So I knew that the "Nu-Era Pics" business was doing well after I left. However, I was concerned that my sudden departure from the business would have thrown "Nu-Era Pics" into chaos.

According to Rachel Hayashibara, no one was confused. She explained my “habit of saying” over the past few years.

Think it over again. Think it over. I am your boss. I take responsibility. But you must get into the habit of thinking for yourself and drawing your own conclusions so that you won't be in trouble when I am gone. Always think things through to the conclusion. After that, come to me. Come to me with a good idea. That means bring what is best for everyone. So, you have to be included in that. So, first figure out what you want to do. Come with an idea that will create the best outcome for everyone at "Nu-Era Pics", for our clients, and hopefully for everyone and every being. Please, always, always, always think like that way, even when I am gone.

According to Rachel Hayashibara, I ended up doing very little to overturn the conclusions that my subordinates had drawn after serious consideration. I was unaware of my "habit of saying". But they understood that I would soon be leaving "Nu-Era Pics". I was truly relieved. And I realized once again that Rachel Hayashibara has a talent for reassuring me that I am in good hands. Oh, I am happy with the “Now”, but I often feel sorry that I don't have the joy of working with Rachel Hayashibara Now”!

Angie Kendall then asked me if I was coming back to the West Coast. I told her that I was going to sell my home and belongings because I was going to live with Masato in New York. Angie looked a little sad and said, "Well, I'll go visit you in New York. There will probably be situations where I will go there on business…".

She then referred me to a recycler who was just the right person to sell my household goods. Well, I had no problem with the sale of my home because I had a real estate agent that I was familiar with. But as for selling my household goods or even disposing of unwanted items, I did not have the knowledge of the vendor, so she was very helpful.

Remember? She had a new girlfriend and was about to get married. During my stay in San Francisco, Angie married her girlfriend. Because of this, Angie was getting rid of her household goods. Angie was examining the belongings of both herself and her girlfriend and selling or throwing away what she did not need. So, she was familiar with recyclers and waste disposal companies.

Angie then told me that she was donating the money from the disposal of her household goods to a non-profit organization called "The Hunger Project". The name “The Hunger Project” sounded familiar, but I couldn't remember it at that moment. She lent me a book that inspired her to start donating to "The Hunger Project". The book is called "The Soul of Money: Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Life", and the author is Lynne Twist, a fundraiser for "The Hunger Project". "The Hunger Project" is an organization founded to end hunger, and Lynne Twist is one of its founding members. Money is our greatest concern, but the way we think and act has always been based on a sense of “Not Enough” when it comes to life, and this is what creates most of the world's problems. "The Soul of Money" is a groundbreaking book that aims to change that idea of "Not Enough”. It is not a difficult book, however, and like “A Course In Miracles,” it will not take you a year or more to read. It is an exhilarating book that teaches the wonder of life's adventures with a very engaging content, including an encounter with Mother Teresa.

But perhaps I have a different impact on this book than Angie Kendall. It tells the story of a woman named Tracy who lived in a small community in Northern California and was divorced in the late 1980s. She was destitute and desperate with two children, but on the other hand, she had long dreamed of living in a different culture and decided to take the plunge and do it. That is when she took her children and stayed with the Ohuchi family at their home in Lake Yamanakako for an extended period of time. I was alone in bed reading "The Soul of Money". Before I started reading, I prayed.

May I understand what I need to understand today.

As a result, I got to read an episode about the interaction between Tracy's family and the Ohuchi family.

Really!?

Of course, I screamed out loud.

Tracy had worked with “The Hunger Project” in Japan and had met Hiroshi Ohuchi, a professor at Tamagawa University. "The Soul of Money” describes it this way The name “The Hunger Project” sounded familiar to me because it was described in Mr. Ohuchi's profile. It was an incredible “Synchronicity"!

During the winter break, Tracy and her two children were invited by Janet to spend time with the Ohuchi family at Lake Yamanakako. It was a fulfilling time, full of daily discoveries, but the end came. Tracy spoke frankly with Janet about her feelings. I can't remember why I have to go back to the U. S. Janet responded, “No one is saying that you have to go back. We are all for you staying here". And so began the full-fledged living together of the two families. Tracy, a former teacher, homeschooled all five children, including the three Ohuchi children. She helped with the cooking and provided creative ideas for the three adults and five children to enjoy living together. She then worked part time at “The Hunger Project” where she studied Buddhism with Mr. Ohuchi and practiced "ZAZEN / Zen Meditation". He sang daily with Janet and the children. In this way, Tracy healed herself from the shock of divorce and destitution.

These are all in “The Soul of Money,” but one thing was mentioned that was not revealed through the various books translated by Mr. Ohuchi. That is that Tracy was with the Ohuchi family when Rei was born. Tracy and her two children shared that painful experience. They supported each other and shared the pain. I was reminded of what Mr. Ohuchi said, "To love is to share, and to share is to love". I never realized that sharing even pain is love until I read this part of the book “The Soul of Money”.

Through this experience, Tracy developed an even greater sense of Compassion and True Strength. After returning to the U. S., she began living with her best friends. As an " Extended Family", she no longer lived in poverty, although her income did not increase. She lived such a wonderful life for 11 years.

As I read this part of the book, I was thinking about Sandra, because even though the difference is that Tracy was divorced and Sandra's husband was murdered, they were experiencing financial hardship with their children, which was similar. I tried to get Sandra a job, but I began to wonder if we should have spent some time together. I thought that I should have had the idea of an “Extended Family” relationship with her and her children. Then I felt one idea arrived.

Let's work with Sandra to create the “C. J. Raymond Memorial Music Education Scholarship Fund”!

We would establish a scholarship for children of crime victims to receive a musical education. In addition, I thought it would be wonderful if we could actually bring in musicians to teach the children to play instruments and even sing. I was excited. Because I knew Masato would find joy in teaching children to play the drums. Living with him would mean that I would not have the opportunity to have children. I was moved by the possibility that we could spend time with children through the "C. J. Raymond Memorial Music Education Scholarship Fund". My own idea moved me! Because although this is my idea, it is not my idea in the sense that it is a Gift from Heaven. And it seemed like a Gift from Christopher Jeremy Raymond! I was deeply grateful for this idea. Even so, I never expected that I would feel that it might be nice to spend time with “the kids”. That surprised me! I was never sad that Masato and I could not have children, but surprisingly, deep down I knew that I would love to have time to spend with them.

But what would others think? Any work is done with others. I decided to talk to someone about this idea. So, I invited Angie Kendall and Rodney Kendall and we all went out to dinner. And I explained to them about C. J. Raymond and Sandra and their children and told them that I wanted to try to establish a “C. J. Raymond Memorial Music Education Scholarship Fund”.

Wow, that's fantastic!

Angie said it was a very good idea and declared that she would make the first donation. And Rodney offered to take on the legal work of setting up and running the fund.

It is my pleasure to work with Yukiko again.

It really is a “Good Time” in my opinion. Even though Rodney lives on the West Coast, far from our New York City location, Internet technology brings us very, very close together.

Having confirmed their good response, I immediately went back to New York for a time. Then I met Sandra. I told her about the idea of the “C. J. Raymond Memorial Music Education Scholarship Fund” and asked for her cooperation. I offered to provide the financial support necessary for her to receive the training she needed to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills.

Starting right now, I am paying you a salary. I will develop you into a fundraiser for the “C. J. Raymond Memorial Music Education Scholarship Fund”. Because of your passion for music and because you know Christopher Jeremy Raymond better than anyone else in the world, there is no one more qualified for this job than you. You will surely be an excellent fundraiser. Through this job, you can contribute to the future of Funk, the future of Philadelphia Soul, and the future of Gospel Music. Christopher Jeremy Raymond protect you.

Sandra burst into tears and said.

Please let me do it.

She immediately went to report to C. J. Raymond's grave.

I immediately bought a new computer for Sandra, gave it to her, and enrolled her in computer classes. I also immediately started paying her a monthly salary. I returned to San Francisco to get rid of my house, but I encouraged Sandra with frequent e-mails and phone calls. Rachel Hayashibara came to me, without my asking, with a written report on the qualifications Sandra needed to acquire. It was an excellent report and described perfectly how to educate and train her. She was no longer my secretary, and yet, through her good intentions, she had done so. I burst into tears. I was convinced that this project was going to be an absolute success.
