We Are a Movie!

Where is the world right now?

This is a question that runs through my head every so often.

Instantly, a stream of thoughts about what is wrong with everything begins.

I’ve learned to let that take its course by watching my thoughts like watching a movie.

Gratefully, from this perspective, the horror movie ends.

And, curiously, a new movie filled with beauty, grandeur and love begins.

Truth emerges from somewhere deep down after the clutter of problems slip away.

The Earth is still orbiting the sun.

This is not to say that all those thoughts about what is wrong are wrong.

No.

They are indeed facts and they are horrific.

We all have this in us.

The ability to cause great pain and suffering.

We also have in us the great capacity for compassion, love and joy.

And this begs the question:

Which movie do you want to make?

Since we are the writer, director, star, editor and producer of a movie that is our life.

We can make it whatever we want.

So?

What story are you going to tell?
