In the ever-evolving world of entertainment, a new development has taken center stage - the face-off between video game actors and Artificial Intelligence AI. Video game actors, with their unique digital performances, are at the forefront of this ongoing debate.
These actors, much like myself, are bridging the gap between traditional and digital media, shaping the future of the entertainment industry.
The Significance of AI in Entertainment
The implications of AI in Hollywood are profound. As an advocate for innovation, I see this as a step forward. The rise of generative AI has stirred discussions across creative professions in Hollywood.
AI has the potential to revolutionize the way we create and consume entertainment, potentially leading to more immersive and interactive experiences.
Possible Future Implications
The long-term changes associated with this AI invasion are yet to be fully realized. However, as a movie enthusiast who frequently contemplates the future of the industry, I can't help but visualize an entertainment landscape where human actors and AI coexist and collaborate.
The possibilities are endless - from creating hyper-realistic virtual worlds to representing characters beyond human capabilities.
As we venture into this new era, it's important to remember that technology is a tool to enhance our creative endeavors, not replace them. As video game actors take on AI in Hollywood, it promises an exciting time ahead for the entertainment industry, and for us, the audience.

In the professional world of SHOGI, the Japanese version of CHESS, a great young man named Sota Fujii has emerged who has dominated all eight titles. He became a professional when he was in middle school. This in itself is a feat that only five people, including him, have achieved in the long history of SHOGI. And he has set all kinds of youngest records. He was passionately devoted to this game from a very young age. He started playing against AI right before he turned pro and improved his skills. Today, there is no professional SHOGI player who does not use AI software to improve his skills.
However, those who watch the games do not enjoy the games between AI and AI. Certainly AI plays moves that humans cannot come up with, but nevertheless it is boring for everyone because it is just an accumulation of past data. Sota Fujii often pulls out a win with an unexpected move that is not the AI's expected best move. This is creativity and creates spectacle.
I am not against the use of AI, but we should not forget that AI is basically nothing but the accumulation of past data. Creativity is in the human heart. Immersion is the concern of Hollywood and the gaming industry, not necessarily a natural consequence of CINEMA.

Interesting how Sota Fuji toys with ai surprising it with a move that could not be anticipated. I agree that ai is not necessarily a natural consequence of Cinema.

Thanks for your comment. I used the edit function to add a picture of Sota Fujii to the post. He is such a young man.
He hates losing at SHOGI. But more than winning, he greatly enjoys thinking long and hard to make the next move when an unknown situation arises.
One time he was asked by the media.
If there was a SHOGI God, what would you seek?
He did not say, âI would ask Him to help me keep winning more SHOGI games.â He said he wanted to play against Him.

Marco, I agree the possibilities are endless. Creatives, like myself, never need fear a tool for creativity and we also know making films without ai will always be available. This world we live in is inclusive, just like Connected Pictures, and that means all forms of creativity have a home. Thanks for the perspective.
